Okta FastPass/Okta Verify FAQ
1. What is Okta FastPass? FastPass is essentially the Okta Verify app you currently use on your phone, but built for your computer. The Okta Verify app, plus a certificate we pre-installed on company devices using our device management systems, allows for passwordless access when logging into Okta, making the process faster and easier.
2. How do I set it up? Clicking the "Sign in with FastPass" button will prompt you to complete the setup of the Okta Verify app on your laptop. You can also follow the steps in our guide.
3. How can I confirm that I completed the FastPass setup? If you click the "Sign in with FastPass" button from the Okta login page, and it takes you through to your dashboard - you're all set! If you didn't set up FastPass successfully, the system would take you over to the Okta Verify app to complete the setup. You can also open up the Okta Verify app on your laptop to confirm.
4. I signed in to Okta, but access to many of my apps are blocked - why is that? If you've logged in to Okta from an unmanaged laptop (like a personal computer) or if you did not use the 'Sign in with FastPass' option at the login page, you may be blocked from accessing certain applications, depending on your specific departmental connections. To resolve this, sign out of Okta and sign back in using the FastPass button from a Roivant-managed laptop (or just use FastPass if prompted when accessing a restricted app).
5. Can I work from my personal laptop? While some apps will be accessible (like Slack, Zoom, M365), others will be locked when using a personal laptop. This restriction is in place to ensure Roivant data and systems are securely managed.
